There was once a country church that was having a Bible study. During that study, the attendees started discussing the proper age to start disciplining children. Some said, “When the child is two years old,” while others chimed in by saying, “When he reaches the age of about three or four.” Finally, an old woman in the back lifted up her hand and said, “Twenty years before the child is born.” The old woman’s answer resounded with truth. The way we train one generation has a dramatic effect upon the next.
