Why Some Girls Attract the Wrong Guys

An Alternative to Traditional Marriage Counseling

I run across many parents that are very concerned about the direction that their children are headed as far as sexual temptation is concerned. I will post an article that I previously wrote that should help to answer your question. I will also put a link at the bottom concerning our Christian-based (Bible-based / Biblical) resource on premarital sex, premarriage issues, modesty, getting physical, et cetera.

I once heard a Pastor by the name of Frank Pardue say, “Once you catch a fish, you can’t change the bait.” This is the primary problem with using provocative dress and sexual acts to get and keep the attention of the opposite sex.

I often say to ladies that if you use shark bait to attract your man, then don’t be surprised when you catch sharks. That is, the type of man that is attracted to a lady for her lack of clothes and her willingness to let a man have access to her body is typically not a man that has a heart that is full of the love of God. In fact, he is usually a self-centered man that cares little about the real you.

Ladies, let me be straightforward with you. There’s just way too much skin being shown today by women in our society, and, to be honest, most of us, including myself, look a whole lot better with a whole lot of clothes on anyway.

Nevertheless, if you continually dress in a way that causes other men to have to fill in the blanks, and you are using this as the primary means to attracting your mate, I would have to conclude that you are going to regret what you catch. I know that girls like attention, but there is a difference between attention and affection, and the type of man that looks at your character instead of your body is the type of man that is more qualified to give you the affection that you inwardly desire.
